Yoga is India’s gift to the world. A lot of weird variants of the same have become popular as well such as Goat Yoga, Dog Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and the like. Now, even ‘Beer Yoga’ is popular as well where exercise is combined with merriment.

In Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh, TwoBirds Craft Beer brewery restarted its services post the coronavirus lockdown when not a single death was reported in the city. All this involves is doing the famous poses, with a glass of beer either in your hand or by your side.

Not just the local people, even foreigners are seen enjoying themselves. After every pose, they take a sip from their glasses.

A woman named Sreyline Bacha tells Reuters why she enjoys it so much, “I have more fun with Beer Yoga. It’s not as serious as traditional Yoga. We are with friends and say ‘cheers’ and sip beer and that makes me feel very happy.”

The instructor named Anna added, “It’s not like a real Yoga practice, it’s more like a gathering with friends, incorporating Yoga moves for entertainment.”

Beer Yoga is not a recent phenomenon. Back in 2013, it was started at the Burning Man Festival in the USA. Since then, its popularity has only skyrocketed.

The general manager of the brewery, Connor Cheney Kirsch, told the news agency about its aim which was to bring people together, especially with the world recovering from the global pandemic as well as a place that will never judge anyone who even drops a bit of the liquid on the floor or trip while doing so.

Needless to say, netizens were baffled by the same. While that was some of them, there were a few who were actually intrigued by this.

What do you think?
